My special bath rithual...
If the shower is for washing away the day, then the bath is for finding myself again. My personal bath ritual is not just about getting clean; it's about coming home to myself
It starts with the preparation. I light a candle, just one, and place it on the edge of the tub. I turn off the bathroom light so the room is glowing and soft. Then I add my secret ingredients: a handful of Epsom salts to soothe my muscles, and a few drops of lavender oil to calm my mind.
As the tub fills, I lay out my towel and my favorite fluffy robe. This is not a rush. This is a ceremony.
When I sink into the hot water, I close my eyes. I don't think about my problems. I don't make plans for tomorrow. I just feel. I feel the warmth on my skin. I feel the tension leaving my shoulders. I feel my breathing slow down.
I stay there until the water starts to get cool. Until I feel like I have soaked away all the noise and all the stress. When I get out, my skin is soft, my mind is clear, and my soul feels quiet.
This is my ritual. This is how I take care of the woman I am. It's a reminder that I am worthy of this time, this peace, this softness. And it's a promise to myself that no matter how chaotic the world gets, I will always have this little piece of heaven to return to.
