Does the first message decide everything?

"Hi, how are you?" — deleted.
"You're very beautiful" — too banal.
"Tell me about yourself" — boring.

And so you've been staring at the screen for 10 minutes... and haven't sent anything.

But the truth is, there's no such thing as a perfect first message.
Sometimes a silly joke works.
Sometimes honesty.
Sometimes a simple "I don't know what to write, but you're interesting."
People remember emotion, not perfection.
So maybe it's time to stop overthinking...
and just text?
