Easter cakes... and a little cheer
Today my house smells of vanilla, warm dough, and... good cheer.
I baked Easter cakes. Yes, yes, by myself.
Slowly, with a smile, occasionally distracted by thoughts...
which, by the way, weren't just about the recipe.
I love these moments—when everything is calm, cozy...
and suddenly the desire to share it with someone pops into my head.
I'll be honest...
I got a little carried away.
I added more sweetness than I planned...
and I think I put too much cheer into them.
Now they're turned out... dangerously delicious.
And so I sit, look at them, and think...
who would I share this moment with now?
Because, you know...
a kulich isn't just a pastry
it's a reason to stop...
to pour tea...
and look at each other a little longer than usual
I wonder...
would you take the first piece yourself...
or would you pretend to wait for me to offer?
I love men with a touch of confidence...
and a sense of humor
So if you're reading this and smiling...
perhaps you've already guessed my mood a little.
Happy Easter to you!
May your life be filled with more warm evenings...
and people you want to share them with.
And you... do you like sweets?
